Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 June 2026

Provider: Steinskog Apps (org. no. 921 660 650), Norway ("we", "us", "StandbyCue"). Contact: hello@standbycue.app

These Terms govern your access to and use of StandbyCue (the "Service") — a run-of-show / rundown tool for live events. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

StandbyCue lets you build rundowns, run shows live, collaborate with a crew, and share read-only or editable views. We may add, change, or remove features over time. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Plans, payments & billing

StandbyCue offers a free plan and paid options (Pro subscriptions and one-time Event Passes). Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the reseller of record: Lemon Squeezy is the seller for your purchase, collects payment, and handles applicable VAT/sales tax. Their checkout terms also apply to the transaction.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and retain access until the end of the paid period. Event Passes are one-time purchases granting time-limited access and do not renew. Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice of changes affecting an active subscription, and changes take effect at your next renewal. Seat upgrades are prorated; downgrades apply at the next renewal.

Refunds and any statutory right of withdrawal are handled in line with Lemon Squeezy's policy and applicable consumer law. Because digital services begin immediately, a consumer's right of withdrawal may be limited once use has started; contact us and we will help.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights; upload malicious code or content you have no right to share; attempt to breach security, access data that isn't yours, or disrupt the Service; reverse-engineer, resell, or build a competing product from the Service; or scrape or overload the Service. We may suspend or limit accounts that break these rules or threaten the Service or other users.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you put into StandbyCue (rundowns, events, cues, uploads, messages). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you and the people you share it with. You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to use it. You are responsible for what you choose to share via links, PIN codes, and public edit links, and with whom.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and the StandbyCue name and logo, belongs to Steinskog Apps and is protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service — no other rights are granted.

7. Third-party services

We rely on sub-processors (e.g. hosting, database, email, payments) to run the Service — see the Sub-processors list. Your use of integrated third-party services is also subject to their terms.

8. Availability & no warranty

We work to keep the Service reliable but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. The Service does not come with a uptime guarantee on the free plan. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. Keep your own copies of critical information (you can export your data at any time).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (via our Merchant of Record) for the Service in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for gross negligence or intent).

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; we may delete your data after a reasonable period, subject to our Privacy Policy and legal retention duties.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes shall be resolved by the ordinary Norwegian courts, with Stavanger District Court (Sør-Rogaland tingrett) as legal venue, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Consumers may also contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet).
